President's MessageWelcome to Mumbai Connexions! We are an expatriate women’s club open to all nationalities. We have been in existence for many years and our aim is to make your stay in Mumbai an enriching and enjoyable experience. Our twice monthly coffee mornings are held in members’ homes and provide a venue for talks on a wide range of topics as well as giving our members the opportunity to exchange information on the pleasures and problems of everyday life here in Mumbai. We run weekly activities such as mah jong, bridge, a book club, tennis and craft group. We also support many local charities by spending time in the orphanages, schools and centres for the elderly and under-privileged children. Our members swim with the blind boys, play bingo with a group of elderly widows and teach the children living in the neighbourhood slums and on the streets. We publish the Namaskar Guide, researched and compiled by our members for our members and especially for those who are new to the city and also to India. This is a comprehensive guide covering all aspects of ex-pat life here in Mumbai. Any individual, commercial enterprise, or product mentioned inside has to have had a personal recommendation from a member of Mumbai Connexions. No home should be without one!! Joining Mumbai Connexions is easy. Come along to one of our coffee mornings, bringing your passport so that we can check for a valid visa and entry stamp, and fill out a membership form. Do get in touch. Write to our e-mail address and someone will answer you. Looking forward to meeting you. Jane Akers
